Choquette is the avocado most Floridians grew up with. Developed in the Homestead area, it thrives in Florida's humidity and produces enormous fruit from October through January when California avocados are winding down. It is a Type A flower, so it pairs well with a Type B pollinator like Monroe or Brogdon nearby.
Mild and buttery with a smooth, creamy texture. Lower fat content than Hass makes it lighter tasting but still deeply satisfying. The large pear-shaped fruit has thin green skin.
