The Story

Monroe ripens December through February, bridging the holiday season and winter when no other Florida avocado is producing. It is a Type B flower that pollinates perfectly with Choquette (Type A). Serious avocado growers plant one of each to extend their season from October through February.

Taste

Rich, nutty, and high in fat content similar to Hass. The large fruit has thick, pebbly green skin that stays green even when ripe. Outstanding eating quality.
